Paper Moon is a female-fronted power-pop band from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. One Thousand Reasons to Stay ... One Reason to Leave is the group's debut full-length album. Released on Endearing Records worldwide and Quince Records in Japan, the album has charted in the top 5 Canadian college radio charts and has collected accolades in international press with comparisons to Juliana Hatfield, the Cardigans and the Sundays. With glorious harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, driving rhythms and catchy keyboards, the album has been described as "a perfect dose of perfect pop" (London Scene). This song, "Sno-Globe," is a bittersweet song about realizing that you can't help someone who is too far away to be helped.
The album was recorded on Mac G4s direct into ProTools 5.0 at Studio 11 in Winnipeg, and was produced by Juno award-winning producer Brandon Friesen (Juno awards are the Canadian equivalent of the Grammys). Paper Moon's label, Endearing Records, is one of the premier independent labels in Canada, and is run entirely on a small network of iMacs and one iBook (plus an old Power Mac 6100 that's sitting unplugged in the corner—please let us know if you have a use for it!).
